The Anger Academy.
A small group learning experience designed to help you reclaim and own your righteous, sacred rage as the powerful fuel for change that it really is.
Does this sound familiar?
There’s always low-grade frustration simmering, and if you really stopped to think about it, you’d realize that there’s molten hot lava running through your veins. You find yourself thinking - and even screaming (no judgment here) - “WTAF!!” at a rapidly increasing and alarming frequency. More often than not, you lay awake at night with your blood boiling over the injustices you’ve encountered. You’ve bitten your tongue so many times that you’re scared you might accidentally bite it clean off.
You realize that you resent a lot of the people around you, you're sick of the unfair imbalances in workload, expectations, demands, and participation. You’ve worried more about what others would think about you, attempting to please them and keep them happy, rather than say or do something about the things that make you mad. You try so hard to “just be happy” that you end up pushing the anger and frustration aside until you just can’t anymore and end up snapping at the smallest little thing.
You spend a lot of energy ruminating about shit that pissed you off… all the times you wish you would have spoken up about, pushed back on, or just walked away to protect your peace. If one more person asks if you’re on your period when you express anger you might just snap, once and for all. You’ve been told more times than you can count that you’re “too emotional” or “so passionate” when really, you’re just sharing what’s important to you.
We are in a fight to maintain our rights, our dignity, our humanity. You're beyond tired of your boundaries and ethical/moral standards being violated. When you speak up, speak out, or ask for things to be done differently, you're met with judgment, criticism, dismissal and gaslighting by people who are invested in maintaining the status quo.
Clenching and grinding your teeth, tightening up, swallowing it down, and ignoring it just aren’t cutting it anymore. There’s nothing left to rage clean. You’re angry but you just don’t know what to do with it…which you recognize is dangerous because you’re teetering on the edge of helplessness and/or hopelessness and utter exhaustion.
!
Friend: Your anger is valid. It’s not wrong. And you are most certainly NOT crazy. Your anger is sacred, it's righteous, and it's welcome here.
Welcome to The Anger Academy.
I know you've been taught otherwise, but there's nothing wrong with you if you're angry.
Most every intentionally marginalized human I’ve met feels herself in the exasperating examples above. This is why I created this program, in honor of all the angry marginalized humans who desire change.
We’re upending a lifetime of conditioning, and developing a healthy relationship with our rage.
In The Anger Academy we’re asking (and answering!) the Big Questions:
And we're coming together in small groups to process and heal our relationship with anger, for good.
When we change our relationship with anger we can harness its power for change. And when we do it together, we heal intergenerational trauma experienced by the intentionally marginalized collective. We'll set forth a better future through community and connection.

Part 1
Part 2
We’ll explore what anger is, why you experience it, how it’s part of emotional wellness, and how to befriend and trust it, so you can embrace anger as the powerful messenger and know how to convert it to sustainable fuel for change. We’ll examine the ways that anger becomes toxic when we don’t process and release it, and how to break free of these unhealthy patterns so that you can move beyond explosive and reactive expressions of anger and know how to lovingly and reliably respond to it instead.
Part 3
We’ll reclaim our anger by examining and releasing the “nice/good girl” programming that has us prioritizing people-pleasing and toxic positivity over emotional honesty. We'll begin to create and express boundaries, based upon your priorities, needs and values.
Part 4
We’ll discover the nature of anger in creating individual and collective change - both historically, more recently, and how it will be front and center in the next revolution so that we can truly own the long lineage of women’s anger as a powerful transformative phenomenon (which is exactly why they don’t allow us to be angry in the first place).
Part 5
We’ll convert your anger into sustainable fuel for personal, professional, community and societal change…and know exactly how you’re going to start using it for good. You’ll proudly be able to say “I’m angry AND I’m doing something about it."
The program is self-paced, but is recommended to complete in a month or less for the most powerful results, once you've attended the live small group session. The small group live session is 1.5 hours. The five modules are approximately 1 hour each, and are designed to listen just like you enjoy your favorite podcasts (while walking, driving, doing chores, etc). The workbook, depending on how accustomed you are to journaling, will take between 30 minutes to 1 hour to complete per module. So the total time commitment is between 9-11.5 hours, give or take.
While it’s the policy of many digital product creators to not offer a refund policy, if you are genuinely unhappy and displeased with The Anger Academy please contact us and we will make it right. Our goal is for you to be empowered, elevated, and inspired by this content, and if it falls short, we promise not to have you walk away disappointed or disillusioned.
The sliding scale tuition for The Anger Academy is based upon the sliding scale for economic justice by Worts & Cunning.
For this program there are three investment levels:
The Full Rate ($222) represents the true cost for this program. This would be the investment in the absence of the sliding scale. "If you have access to financial security, own property or have personal savings, you would not traditionally qualify for sliding scale services. If you are able to pay for "wants" and spend little time worried about securing necessities in your life, you have economic privilege and power in our community. This price is for you." Please note that by paying full rate for your tuition you are helping me to be able to offer a sliding scale option while being fairly compensated for my work.
The Half Rate ($111) is for those whose reality is not represented by the Full or Quarter rate tuition, where the full rate would be quite a stretch. "If you are struggling to conquer debt or build savings or move away from paycheck to paycheck living but have access to steady income and are not spending most of your time thinking about meeting basic needs such as food, shelter, medical care, child care, etc., you belong here. If you, however, can ask others for financial support, such as family members, partners, or friends, please consider using those personal resources before you use the resources of the sliding scale and limit opportunities for others."
The Quarter Rate ($55) is for those who would not be able to attend the program if there was not a sliding scale option. "If you struggle to maintain access to needs such as health care, housing, food, child care, and are living paycheck to paycheck or are in significant debt, you belong probably belong here and you deserve a community that honors your price as equal an economic offering as the person who can pay the highest tier."
If the Quarter Rate tier still makes this program out of reach and you want to attend this experience, please submit an application for one of the limited full tuition scholarships that are available.
Ample studies have shown that there’s a difference between righteous rage and violence/violent anger. Righteous rage occurs when moral, ethical, mental, emotional or physical standards, expectations, values and boundaries have been violated. It’s most often a reaction to unjust and unequal treatment, a response to some form of dehumanization and minimization of an individual's needs. Violent anger is a reaction from an unexpected imbalance in power relationships, where the violent party is reacting to the violation of the power dynamic (eg. women should submit to the authority and dominance of men, POC should submit to authority and dominance white people). Violence is used as a “corrective” action in an attempt to force the target to accept the hierarchical power structure.
Group rates and sponsorships can be arranged. The program is also offered at no cost to members of our nonprofit partner organizations. For more information about group rates or sponsorships, please contact us.
Yes. Both video with captions, audio files, and written transcripts are provided. If you have any further accessibility needs, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do everything we can to meet them.
No! Absolutely not. Anyone who wants to be a part of The Feminist Future is welcome here... the future where we've thrown out systems of oppression and inequality; where all humans are equally valued, honored, cherished and celebrated; where love, peace, and respect replace dominance, fear, and control/coersion; where community and collective care replaces toxic individualism and resource manipulation/hoarding...this is a safe space for all loving and respectful humans. Dogs too. We <3 dogs.

I loved how real Dr. Dee was with her presentation and delivery. I didn’t feel like I was being preached to, which was very appreciated.
Lindsey A.
I’m already a Dee fan but I take away something every time I’m around her. I’m a better person and look forward to working with her in one of her programs.
Suzanne A.
I have a lifelong experience of being told that I’m “too emotional,” “too passionate,” “too abrasive,” and that I should just “smile more.”
Fuck that.
I’ve come to realize how I’ve never accepted the social conditioning about women and anger…it’s why I’ve always pushed back, pushed harder for change, and chosen to leave when jobs, communities, and relationships have been out of integrity, disingenuous, unjust and unwilling to do anything about it. I’ve always been deeply connected to my values, beliefs and sense of justice and integrity.
It’s why I’ve spent my career working in community building - - leading a number of international NGOs, championing change through advocacy and activism, and working with thousands of coaching clients -- because I want my work to make this world a better place, to make a difference, to relieve unnecessary suffering, to promote human flourishing.
I love nothing more than helping feminist leaders and changemakers lead the fight against social inequality and systemic oppression. I want to help you BE the change so that you can LEAD the change…without the burnout, overwhelm, pressure and punishment.
The Anger Academy is one of many programs I offer, designed to help us embody The Feminist Future now.

If You're Angry, You're Not Alone.
Every direction I turn, I find women who are trying to mask, hide, repress or deny their anger…and we’ve got to stop this, it’s quite literally killing us.
A new report in 2022 showed that stress, anxiety, worry, sadness, and anger among women worldwide are at a 10-year-high (I'm sure you're not shocked either). 38% of women suffer from one or more chronic stress related health issues, which are often underdiagnosed, so in reality this number is likely much higher. Unexpressed stress and anger become toxic, often showing up as chronic illness and mental health challenges.
These feelings don't just appear, they're in response to the world around us.
